Refund Policy
Framerly is a Framer plugin operated by Domino Effect. This policy explains how refunds work: which purchases are refundable, when, and how to request one.
The short version: monthly and annual subscriptions come with a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid period. Lifetime purchases are non-refundable except where there's an unresolved product defect. Either way, contact us first; we want to make this right without involving your bank.
Free trial and free tier
New accounts get a 7-day full-access trial automatically. After the trial, you can keep using Framerly on the free tier, which permits 2 distinct projects per calendar month. Together these let you evaluate the product end to end before paying. Neither involves a charge, so there's nothing to refund.
The trial is granted once per Framer account every 12 months. Signing up with a different email under the same Framer login does not start a new trial.
Monthly and annual subscriptions
Both plans come with a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid period.
- The guarantee applies to the initial purchase only. Renewing a plan, or cancelling and resubscribing later, does not start a new 14-day window.
- We may decline refund requests where usage is inconsistent with a good-faith evaluation of the product. The most common example: signing up, scanning a backlog of dozens of projects in the first day or two, then asking for a refund.
- Renewal payments (the second month, the second year, and onwards) are not refundable. Cancel any time through the Polar customer portal to stop future billing; your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- If a renewal payment fails, Polar will retry; your access stays active during the grace window.
Lifetime purchases
Lifetime is sold as a one-time, non-refundable purchase. The 14-day money-back guarantee does not apply.
We will review Lifetime refunds on a case-by-case basis where there's an unresolved product defect, meaning a documented, reproducible issue that prevents you from using Framerly as described and that we cannot fix in a reasonable time. Preference changes, dislike of the product, or "I changed my mind" do not qualify.
If Framerly is ever discontinued, we will give active Lifetime customers reasonable advance notice and an export of your account data. We do not commit to a pro-rata cash refund.
Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us before disputing the charge with your card issuer. Chargebacks lock the dispute outside our control, slow resolution, and incur fees we'd rather not pass on.
We respond to refund requests within 2 business days. Almost every legitimate concern is resolvable directly, and faster than a chargeback would be.
How to request a refund
Email rodrigo@dominoeffect.co with:
- The email address on the order.
- The plan you purchased (monthly, annual, or lifetime).
- A short note about the reason. Optional within the 14-day window for subscriptions; helpful for product-defect Lifetime requests.
We'll confirm receipt within 2 business days and, where the policy applies, issue the refund through Polar.
Processing time
Refunds are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar typically completes the refund within 5 to 10 business days; the credit may take an additional few days to appear on your statement depending on your card issuer or bank.
Tax (VAT, GST, or sales tax) is reversed in proportion to the refunded amount where applicable.
Polar as our merchant of record
All payments are processed by Polar (Polar Software Inc.) as merchant of record. Polar handles taxes, invoicing, and the actual transfer of funds. Polar may, at its own discretion and independent of this policy, issue refunds within 60 days of purchase to prevent or resolve a chargeback. See Polar's refund documentation for details.
Statutory consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and equivalent local rules; our 14-day money-back guarantee meets or exceeds this where it applies. Customers in other jurisdictions retain whatever rights local law provides.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. If you have a live paid plan, we'll notify you by email before the change takes effect.
